Letterhead Requirements

on Monday, 06 November 2017.

In the UK you are required to print your full legal trading name along with the registered office and company registration number on your letterheads.
If you are a genuine business no doubt you want to assure your prospects customers and suppliers that you are who you say you are. Fake companies are often easy to spot, a common giveaway is no physical identifiable location.
The company name doesn’t have to be prominent text it can be on the base of the letterhead to allow space for printing a brand name in a more prominent location. Where applicable you are also required to display your VAT number. If a company is a sole trader or partnership i.e. a non-Ltd company you should print your trading address, VAT number and partnerships names.

From a customer services standpoint it is also advisable to provide web addresses, email addresses and phone numbers.
